1. Forget what TV told you.
Entertainment sources put alot of emphasis on beauty, usually the beautiful aren't portrayed as very smart. Brainless girls who know nothing more than brand names and stare at shiny objects. Just because a girl is attractive doesn't mean she's dumb. There are people out there like that but its not every girl you walk past. Some merely use their beauty to get by and don't rely on intelligence whatsoever. This is unfortunate. Overall, beauty and intelligence is NOT connected in any way.
2. I'm not your ex-girlfriend.
Every girl or woman is different. Entirely different. Learn to adjust to different personalities. Not every girl is programmed the same. This is similar to the "they're all the same" crock of shit that girls say all the time. They are not all the same, you just keep picking the same personality that screws you over every time. Try something new??
3. To make things easier, assume I know everything.
The only time I ever ask my boyfriend to explain things is when he's talking about physics. Otherwise I expect him to assume that I'm equally as intelligent most of the time. I know I'm smarter than him in certain categories, but in the area of science....he needs to explain it slowly and in small words like I'm his 5 year old brother.
4. I don't need to stop and ask for directions to find my way.
This is why I asked for a GPS for Christmas last year. It works great.
5. "I have money" does not equal "I love you."
Showing off your money or bragging about it as if its your best quality makes you a douchebag. Girls don't consider this as a quality most of the time, its a superficial thing that just makes you a douche. I'll say it again....douche.
6. I have other interests than shopping.
I hate shopping. Unless it's for Victoria Secret underwear because I love it. You'd never guess that I love sci-fi crap and nerdy things because I'm a girl, but hey I LOVE me some Star Wars. The boyfriend appreciates this. Life shouldn't revolve around your girlfriend's clothes or shoes, if it does and you don't like it, consider getting a new one.
